A Buicks is traveling at high speed along the highway.

Old Hong turned and drove towards the south.

Dong Xuebing had not come to this area yesterday, and he looked around. “Sigh…. I wish I could buy a small house here if I got the money.”

Zhang Longjuan laughed. “Sure. I will give you a house here if you are moving here.”

Dong Xuebing does not know if she is joking. “No… no…. I cannot accept it.”

There were other cars on the road, and they were blocked by the two military vehicles. Around eight soldiers with rifles walked over to a car and started searching it. They also checked the driver’s ID.

The soldiers searched inside the car, the boot, and the body searched the driver and passengers.

The two cars, who were stopped, grumbled, but the soldiers ignored them.

“Shit!” Old Hong slammed the brakes.

Zhang Longjuan’s face changed. “Why is there a security checkpoint here? You all….” She looked at Yao Shun.

Yao Shun shook his head and looked at his ankle. It was bulky, and he might be carrying a gun.

Many Americans own guns, but Yao Shun’s guns should be illegal. Their car cannot be searched.

Zhang Longjuan did not expect to encounter a security checkpoint on this road. She had never encountered any security checks along this road before or would not bring Yao Shun here. Her heart started beating faster.
