Chapter 1891: Bai Shu Jin's Call

The number of patients started to decrease. She finally had time to check on her phone. It was from Feng Yue and Dian Qi Qi who asked about her. She noticed an unknown number sending a message to her. She was about to open the message when a call came through. It was the same unknown number.

She picked up the call. At first, it was silent. She thought it was a prank call. So, she wanted to end the call. Suddenly she heard a voice that she had not heard for a long time.

"Miss Tang." That person called her name.

Yu Qi narrowed her eyes. "You answer my call." The person said again.

"Mr Bai Shu Jin?" Yu Qi tried to confirm it.

"You recognized my voice?" Bai Shu Jin sounded so happy.

"Mr Bai, I have an excellent memory. That is why I remember your voice. There is nothing more about that." Yu Qi said.

"Even so, I am happy to be remembered by you." Bai Shu Jin said.

"How do you get my contact number? I don't remember sharing mine with you." Yu Qi was kind of surprised to get a call from Bai Shu Jin.

"I get your number from one of your acquaintances." Bai Shu Jin stated.

"Who?" Yu Qi asked more for detail. Bai Shu Jin stated it was one of her acquaintances. She bet this acquaintance of hers was not that close to Yu Qi because if he or she was close to Yu Qi, he or she would never share her contact information with Bai Shu Jin.

"I am sorry. I can not tell you." Bai Shu Jin said.

"Okay. Sure. Leave that behind. Then, why are you contacting me out of a sudden?" Yu Qi moved to the next topic that she wanted to know from Bai Shu Jin. "I read about your news." Bai Shu Jin said.

"So, what? What is my news related to you, anyway?" Yu Qi asked again.

"If you want to break your engagement with that man, can you consider me as your next partner? I will be a lot better than that Long Hui or your new man." Bai Shu Jin said.

Yu Qi was speechless. She really did not know what to reply to Bai Shu Jin right now. However, she felt that her anger was rising rapidly. "Yu Qi..." Bai Shu Jin tried to get a response from Yu Qi but he did not hear anything from Yu Qi. "Are you an idiot? When did I say I want to break off my engagement with my fiance?" Yu Qi shouted. "But you have been together with another man, went to have a date with that man. If that is the case, you can consider me." Bai Shu Jin replied.

There were knocks on her door. "Yes, you may enter." Yu Qi gave permission to the person who knocked on her door. The door was opened and a head peeked in. "Doctor Yu Qi, are you okay?" Yu Qi just could smile faintly. "I am sorry. Do you hear it?" She asked.

"Well, I just heard shouting from your room. But I don't hear much about your conversation. I am sorry for disturbing you like that." It was a nurse who peeked inside. "It is nothing. So, why are you here?" Yu Qi asked.

"Oh, Professor Su wants to see you for the missing leg patient." The nurse stated her business.

"I see. I will go and meet Professor Su right now. Is she in her room?" Yu Qi asked.

"Yes. She is in her room." The nurse nodded.

"Okay. I will go right away." Yu Qi said.

She stood up and threw her phone in the drawer. She changed the sign on her door stating that she was not in the room and locked the door. She lost her temper earlier. That man wanted to be with her if she broke off the engagement. She laughed in her mind. She would never be with that man ever again. ...

Bai Shu Jin was stunned as he looked at his phone. Yu Qi sounded so angry on the phone. But he did not understand why Yu Qi was so angry at him. He was looking at the recent news about Yu Qi going hiking with another man beside Long Hui. Hiking together meaning they were so close. He never met this man when they were still students. So, he assumed Yu Qi knew this man after Yu Qi graduated. He just found out this man was the owner of Yue Cooperation. If Bai Cooperation was about 60 years old, Yue Corporation was almost 100 years old. It was longer than Bai Cooperation. His father used to talk about the owner of the Yue Corporation. But Yue Corporation did not reveal who the owner was until recently.

Bai Shu Jin suspected Qin Xia inherited the position from his father. That was why people finally found out who the owner was.
